Set Me Free

Fill my pockets with heavy stones,

And lay me in the cold bottomless river.

For I would face a thousand deaths,

Before enduring this trial.

Let the fungi decompose my body,

And allow it to cover me in patchwork spores.

For I would face the weight of time,

Before enduring anymore pain.

Give me your beating heart,

And let me devour it until I’ve had my fill.

For I would face the wrath of hell,

To no longer endure this life.
