Treat Me Like A Child

Hold me like a child so I can remember what it’s like to be loved.

Pull me gently into your arms and cradle me like an infant.

Sing me lullabies and read me stories to help me drift off to sleep.

Run your fingers through my hair and watch over me like a precious jewel.

When I wake, brush my hair gently and braid it down my back.

Take me outside and teach me to sing like the birds.

Show my how to climb trees and how to ride a bike.

Tell me how to be a pirate or a princess as we adventure through the bush.

Treat me like the child I once was so we can be merry again.
