I Wish

I wish to be a cat,

Curled in blankets,

Purring with contentment.

I wish to be a dog,

Waiting patiently at a café,

As strangers lovingly pet my snout.

I wish to be a rabbit,

Happily chewing on pellets,

Specially bought for my health needs.

I wish to be a hamster,

Running quickly in my wheel,

The exterior having been adorned with small hearts.

I wish to be loved for simply existing.
