Fear & Hope

Fear is like darkness,

All-encompassing and infinite.

Sometimes you’re the Sun,

Brilliant and golden against the sky.

Your light chases the darkness away,

Leaving nothing but a wisp in its wake.

Other times all you have is a simple candle,

A beacon of hope that flickers in the darkness,

As you wander in search of sunlight,

Darkness surrounding you like a veil.

Fear is like darkness,
